Intersexual

An intersexual person is one who has physical manifestations of both male and female anatomy. They often grow up as a male or a female. Often surgery on an intersexual baby is performed to remove one or other sexual organ so that the child has a more "normal" life.

Intersexuals are often referred to as hermaphrodites. The preferred term is now Intersex.
