GLBTQ is an abbreviation for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer. It is the different sexualities that comprise our community. LGBTQ is often used as an alternative. Many authors alternate these terms to remove gender biases. Other variants are GLBT, GLBTIQ (where I stands for intersexual).
