to prevent confusion with other advertising on Pinkboard.
Pinkboard Banners appear in a number of places across Pinkboard:
Pinkboard supports ads in jpg, gif and swf (Flash) formats. For jpg and gif formats the ads support mouse-over images and alt (tool tip) text. Animation is OK, but not too frantic please.
Pinkboard uses the terms hits and clicks. A hit (also known as an impression) is a view of your banner. A click (also known as a click-through) is someone clicking on your banner.
Once you have organised your banner you will be able to monitor the hits and clicks it receives (Flash banners should use clickTAG to allow click tracking). The pages are password protected and you will be issued with a password once you have organised your banner.

Pinkboard Home Page
Banners on the home page appear in the white bar on the right hand side of the page. The top ad is reserved for community and other organisations who Pinkboard has a significant relationship with. Below appear a number of smaller banners which are selected randomly on each page load. These are available to anyone.
The Pinkboard home page is the primary entry point to Pinkboard. It receives over 50,000 hits per month. It's constantly changing content and easy access to the rest of the site encourages  return visits.

Pinkboard Personals Ads
Each ad in Pinkboard
Personals has a banner linked to it, and that banner always appears with
that ad. It appears on the right hand side of the ad. As an example have a look
at the Pinkboard logo in the top right corner of this sample ad. The background of the page is a dark purple #663366.
Pinkboard Personals receive between 10,000 and 25,000 hits every day. Individual ads are viewed an average of around 400 times over their one month lifetime. Ads with pictures get at least twice as many hits, even up to 2500 hits. 25,000 hits typically lasts about a month with general targeting .
Banners can be tailored to target all ads, or a selection based
on various criteria. The criteria including location, category and other ad characteristics. Banners may be  rated. (Complete list of criteria.)

Pinkboard Personals Entry Page
Banners on the Pinkboard Personals entry page appear on the right hand side of the page. The banner rotates randomly on each page load. The background of the page is a dark purple #663366.
The Pinkboard Personals entry page is the second most commonly used entry point to Pinkboard. it is the primary entry point to Pinkboard Personals. It receives over 30,000 hits per month.

Pinkboard Graffiti Walls
Pinkboard Graffiti Walls attract a number of different audiences depending on the content of the wall. The Party Graffiti Wall is the most popular and attracts over 10,000 hits per month. A majority of these are from Sydney at present. Other walls attract varying numbers of hits depending on their topic and currency.
The Graffiti Walls are read from top to bottom, with the most recent entry being at the bottom. There is an option to automatically remember where they were up to in reading the wall. The banners on the Graffiti Walls are placed at the bottom of the page as this is where most people will see them. They appear to the right of the "Add your own graffiti" form.
Two options are offered: Exclusive and rotating. Exclusive banners mean that your banner is the only one to appear for the period. Rotating means that other banners may also appear for the period. Rotating banners are selected randomly each time the page loads. Availability is on a first come first served basis.

Payment
All prices include GST. Pinkboard requires payment prior to activating the ad. (Where a company has established a relationship a purchase order number is adequate.) Payment may be made by credit card, direct credit, cheque or money order. Cheques and money orders should be made payable to Pinkboard. A tax invoice will be issued on request.
Guaranteed Hits
In some cases Pinkboard guarantees the number of hits (impressions) you will receive and the period your banner will appear for. This means if you get less than the number of hits within the time period then your ad will continue to appear until you have reached the number of hits.
Pinkboard cannot guarantee the number of clicks.
