Slightly Grittier Guys Do It For Me, Big Time
Getting away from the squeaky clean, polished, studio lit spaces and performances of the major production companies can be a real relief - so when I found this (slightly) grittier effort I went into serious 'production' mode.

The weekend. It has been a stressful week. My days have been waking up at 6 am. Meetings and training by 8 am until 6 pm. Fly to another city by 8 pm and then arrive at hotel at midnight. Next day do it all over again. I finally get a bit of time out. And I’m in Brazil..more precisely in Rio de Janeiro, one of my favorite cities. Yes. I hate my job too.
Recruiting is a lot like rooting…wears you out. You put your best foot forward and hope that someone will pick you up (or sign up to study). Brazil is a very passionate country…with lots of eye candy. But in the last few days, I’ve seen my life flash by…literary as crazy taxi

Mardi Gras Parade day has arrived and I can barely contain my excitement. You can already feel the energy on Oxford st and people are already lining up to get their spots along the parade route.
We have put the final touches on the routine and have all been given our outfits! It's time to get it on hehe. I will be taking my camera with me to snap lots of shots and maybe even capture a bit of video too.
We have been doing a lot of media over the last few days. It seems that everybody wants a piece of the lifesavers. You may get to see me on Foxtel or the news.
This years parade route is a little longer than past ones I am told and begins on Oxford st rather that by Hyde park.
I have pack a few extra pairs of socks this year and some snacks for the holding area so I think I am quite well prepared.
Im off now to trim and pluck and make myself beautiful. I will be back soon with the full parade rundown and debrief.
