Mardi Gras is the premier event of Sydney's, Australia's and even the world's
lesbian and 
gay calendar.
It is a celebration of our sexuality,
and our liberation from oppression due to our sexuality.
It is a month where we can feel normal.
But we aren't all mincing queens and diesel dykes!
The poster (the silouhettes above arranged in the squares of the background)
celebrates the diversity of our community (communities).
This year the launch of the month long festival is in the forecourt (foreplay in the forecourt?) of one of Sydney's major landmarks: the Opera House. It is a sign of acceptance by Sydney of our sexuality.
